The Baker’s Dream…
Baker’s Dream Dessert Company is a Black owned, woman operated, cottage kitchen bakery specializing in French Macarons. Established in 2021, Baker’s Dream began as a quarantine hobby during the COVID-19 pandemic. Owner/Operator Stacie Miller (she/her/hers) is a Chicago native and NIU Alum. She is a self-taught baker, and she (jokingly) credits her skills to “YouTube University”. Inspired by pictures and videos online, Stacie began baking as a way to combat stress and anxiety while also stretching her creative muscles. With the support of family and friends, the daydream quickly turned into a business venture. In 2022, Baker’s Dream participated in its first ever Farmer’s Market, where the community response was overwhelmingly supportive. Baker’s Dream Dessert Company has been committed to fulfilling dessert dreams in the DeKalb County community ever since.

All products are prepared in a home kitchen not subject to inspection, that may also process common food allergies. All treats are prepared in a facility near peanut, tree nut, dairy and soy products. Please inquire about ingredient information and disclose any dietary needs before ordering. Some flavors may contain gluten and other allergens. Always double check ingredient labels.

Gluten free recipes are always being developed and tested, however at the present time some flavors may contain gluten. Please check the Macaron Menu before ordering and always double check ingredient labels.

At markets and pop up shops we accept cash, tap to pay, Cash App and all debit and credit cards accepted by Square.
For custom orders, we accept all debit and credit cards accepted by Square, and Cash App.

The average turn-around time for custom orders is 7 days. For special events or bulk orders (3 dozen or more), a minimum of two weeks’ advance notice is requested.

Delivery is an additional $10 (local orders only). Shipping costs start at $10 and may vary based on location. Pick up is always available at no additional cost.

To order for a special event, please go to the Special Events page on this site for pricing. Once you are ready to order, go to the Order Here! page and submit a form with the details for your order. Please be as detailed as possible (colors, theme, names, etc.)

Due to the delicate nature of our product, all items are made to order. Please Note: A 50% deposit will be due 24 hours after placing your order, for all orders totaling $25 and up. The deposit acts as a placeholder for your order and will be applied towards the total balance. The remaining amount will be due on the date indicated on your invoice. Orders will not be prepared if a deposit is not received unless otherwise stated. Thank you for your cooperation!

We are more than happy to recommend a flavor from our menu and custom flavors are always a welcome challenge! However to ensure that our customers are satisfied with the goods that they receive, Baker’s Dream will NOT assume creative control over the choice of flavors of products for ANY order.
We kindly ask that you help to support this policy by making sure to include product and/or flavor choices when placing an order. Thank you for your cooperation!

All prompts and instructions on gift certificates must be followed. Please be aware that restrictions may apply, read all information on the gift certificate carefully.
Once a gift certificate has been accepted, no further changes can be made to the order.
A gift certificate will not be honored if it has expired.

Partial refunds are available for orders with issues regarding shipping (ie: broken items or damaged packaging). Full refunds are available at the discretion of Baker's Dream Dessert Company. (see cancellation policy)

Please be aware that all treats are made to order. Cancellations can be disappointing, but we understand! If you need to cancel your order, please do so 72 hours in advance if possible (your deposit will be refunded at this time). If you need to cancel your order less than 72 hours in advance, your deposit will be forfeited. To make changes to your order or cancel, please email us at bakersdreamdessertco@gmail.com, and be sure to include your name and invoice number in the subject line.
